wtf is aot?

the audacity of trust was started on January 29, 2007 by me to pretty much be an outlet of creativity, frustration, passion, joy and debauchery for the rest of the world to learn from, one delicious post at a time. 

I’m ashpash.  I’m 27, going on 28 in July.  I’m a textbook Cancerian.  I do marketing/graphic design for a living.  I love karaoke, raw oysters and beer.  I was born in Augusta, Georgia, raised in Cleveland, Ohio and live now in Charlotte, North Carolina.  I overanalyze my overanalyzations.  I go to therapy.  My parents are still married though I question why.  My favorite color is red.  My favorite word is “imagine”.  My favorite band is the Beatles and my favorite cuss word is fuck.

Evidently, a point to be made is the fact that I write to be funny.  Not accurate.  Don’t come here for consistently serious takes on the meaning of life, the national deficit, or if you have no sense of humor.  That’s really annoying and above all, sad and pitiful.  Go listen to NPR or read the New York Times.  Come here if you want a laugh, a smile, something a little off the beaten path.  Don’t ride my ass if I criticize a politician you love, a movie that changed your life or the fuckin’ ”You Pick Two” combo I ate from Panera yesterday that I hated but you love to eat everyday with your yuppie friends.

Write you own blog and bitch over there. 

There is a place for facts and figures, legitimate, fair and balanced news and general seriousness.

That is not one of these places.

I am not telling you what to like and I am sure as hell not responsible for any of this that you might want to try at home.  Absorb at your own risk.  You’re more than welcome to vote for candidates different than me, worship your God differently than me, get freaky with a different gender than me.  I’ll even let you listen to other music than me, so long as we don’t have to ride in the same car.  Cool? 

If I’m honest, I write this for me.  I just want to vent, have fun at other people’s expense and have a voice about what I care about.  If someone “gets it”, that’s just icing on the cake.  What is cool is that a majority of people DO “get it”, and if that feeds the spoiled only child within with some superficial worth via website traffic, I an’t too proud.

Point being, if you don’t like it, change the channel.
